Volunteer Roles

We offer a variety of roles to suit your skills and interests:

  • Community Kitchen: help with meal preparation, serving, and food parcels.
  • Digital Inclusion: assist with basic tech skills, online forms, and digital safety.
  • Financial Inclusion: provide budgeting support and signposting.
  • Parents Talk: support group sessions and assist with activities.
  • Household Items & Donations: sort, store, and organise donated goods.
  • Events & Outreach: help with promotion, registration, and event set-up.
  • Interpreters: support communication in different languages.
  • Drivers: assist with collections and deliveries.

Training and Safeguarding

  • All volunteers receive an induction and full training for their role.
  • We ensure that every volunteer understands our safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • PVG checks are required for anyone working with children or vulnerable adults.
  • Regular supervision and ongoing support are provided to all volunteers.

Time Commitment

  • Volunteering is flexible to suit your schedule.
  • Opportunities are available on weekdays and some weekends.
  • You can volunteer regularly or take part in short-term projects.

Who Can Volunteer

  • Everyone is welcome to apply — no experience is needed for most roles.
  • We encourage participation from all backgrounds, including new Scots, students, and retired individuals.
  • Training and ongoing support are provided for every volunteer.
